International Projects

The Menomonee Falls Rotary club in conjunction with Rotary
International, The Rotary Club of David, Panama and the Peace
Corps are joining efforts to bring clean water to the Village of Kunta
in Panama.

We have raised the necessary funds for the project which is
estimated to run about $15,000. At this time the project is on hold
due to a halt on the project by the Panamanian government. We will
work to try to resolve the issues.

The Menomonee Falls Rotary Club has and continues to support the
International Shelter Box Program. A Shelter Box is an indestructible
box containing a tent and all the necessary items someone who has
lost their home would need to survive. These boxes are distributed
around the World to areas besieged by floods, earthquakes,
Tsunami's and other disasters. One shelter box costs about $1000.
So far the Menomonee Falls Club has purchased 6 boxes and has
taken part in another 5 being distributed.

The Menomonee Falls Rotary Club continues to help out with the
Power Flower Program. Power Flower is an enzyme that is derived
from the beer brewing process. This is distributed to areas of the
World where nutrition is a problem due to basically a diet of
porridge. Just a pinch mixed into the porridge helps break down and
digest the food. Power Flower is manufactured in Sheboygan, WI.
